Ndawana River Lodge offers luxury accommodation, total peace, solitude and tranquillity.

Situated in the Southern Drakensberg, bordering the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, a declared World Heritage Site.

This stylishly decorated, self-catering luxury lodge sleeps up to eight people and offers all the comforts of a home.

Take time to relax on the deck, listen to the river, watch the colourful sunrises and sunsets, take part in fun activities – but whatever you do, we promise that your stay with us will be memorable.

What To Do

Total relaxation and appreciation for natures beauty. Privacy and seclusion from the rest of the farm.

Hiking – Take a walk around the farm. – Stroll along the river front to the waterfall or if you’re feeling more energetic hike the mountain trail.

Fishing – The river is available to all. The two dams are stocked with trout and we request a catch and release policy. A rowing boat is available for use on the main dam (Life jackets are compulsory and oars available on request). Daily fishing rates available on request.

Mountain Bikes – Bring your own and enjoy the terrain.

Bird Watching – From Eagles to rock hoppers, crowned cranes to chats. See what you can spot and let us know if you see something interesting.

Swimming – In the river pools or the waterfall pool. Tubing – For the energetic try the river during summer – or float on the dam.

4X4 – Conquer the mighty Sani Pass and have a drink at the highest pub in Africa.
